High profile and high price headphones seem to be the new target for the counterfeit market!
There’s a problem over at head-fi.org. chi2 is trying to establish whether these Audio Technica ATH-ESW-9 (below) headphones are real or fake. This is very worrying for the headphone market. Dare I say that if the counterfeiters are creating fake Audio Technica, who knows what else is being copied!
Audiocubes has them for $299 and over at Amazon, they’re around the same price (ESW9A from a third party merchant). On ebay, the retail starts at $199. Click the image below and find out what the conclusion is to whether the ATH-ESW-9′s are real.
