The Perfect Alternatives For Fake CX300’s. The New Metro.fi 100 And 150 Range

May 13th, 2008 | by |

Welcome To The New And exciting Metro.fi Range From Ultimate Ears.

This is not so much a post on the new line form Ultimate Ears, but more excitingly this could be a brilliant alternative to the Sennheiser CX300 earphones. However, as always I suggest that you get them through the Proper channels. Personally I’m going through handheldaudio.co.uk. They are available from amazon, but I suspect that the current price might be an introductory price, that will soon go up. I’ve seen it before on the Shure range on amazon.

Here are some reviews of the Ultimate Ears Metro.fi 2 earphones

This is a review of the Goldring GX200 earphones, with a comparison with the Metro.fi 2 in the sound test.

The range. Who they are, and what they do.

Metro.fi 100

The, Metro.fi 100’s are the new Ultimate Ears baby. They offer the same applications as the Metro.fi 2 earphones. I can see these being a great and affordable pair of entry-level earphones.

Metro.fi 100v

The Metro.fi 100v has the added advantage of having a built in inline microphone, like it’s bigger brother the Super.fi 4 vi. The good thing about the 100v earphones is that there is only a slight price increase.

Metro.fi 150

These look very nice indeed. As you’d expect for a modest increase in price, comes an increase in performance. The difference, I’ve been told by the distributor, is in the bass.

Metro.fi 150v

As you might have guessed, the ‘V’ includes an inline mic. Good news for iphone owners who are looking for a cheap but good upgrade.

Where to buy?

Well, that’s it for the time being it’s great news for everyone, and a chance for more people getting into the UE way of thinking. They are selling in few places, but like I said before, when I buy a pair, I’ll get them from www.handheldaudio.co.uk one of the official UK distributors.

Amazon, buy.com, advancedmp3players these are just a few of the popular online merchants that are currently selling them. Of course they are on ebay, and for the time being, you could assume that there are no counterfeits on the market….that might change, so buy from the AUTHORIZED sellers.

Sennheiser CX’s and the like should be sweating by now, and if you’ve just bought a pair of low cost earphones, I’d sell them A.S.A.P. and treat your ears to a pair from the new Metro.fi range. Can’t wait to get mine!
